About Renewed Hope Family Camp

Who are we?

Hello! We are Nathan and Elissa Manion, a homeschooling family living in Central Ohio. We have been married for nine years and have four awesome kids , the youngest of whom was born earlier this year.

Early on in our marriage we attended Bible College together at Ethnos360 Bible Institute, with the intention of serving as overseas missionaries. After God said "not now" to that plan, we began to look for other ways to use our ministry training to benefit the body of Christ. We spent three years helping an international church in Columbus by teaching the youth and training the parents how to take on the responsibility of teaching their own kids.

Now we feel led to take on a new challenge: starting a Christian family camp!

Why start a family camp?

For many years we as a couple have had a passion to see Christian families grow to be healthier, clearer reflections of our Savior.  We believe that one of the best ways to help a family is to help the marriage on which that family is built.  However, we noticed that many couples struggle to make time to intentionally build into their marriage - especially during their parenting years, as raising children takes priority.  Often couples do not have the resources to leave their children and go away to a marriage retreat alone.  And so we dreamed up the idea of creating a camp that combined family vacation with intentional teaching to help couples and families strengthen their relationships.

What is the vision of Renewed Hope?

As the name suggests, our goal with this camp is for families and couples to leave with a renewed passion to know, love and serve one another better.  We want to give hope to families who are struggling, and challenge those who are doing well to pursue doing even better.
